Cherokee KOA, Cherokee, North Carolina

This very large campground located just outside of Great Smokey Mountains National park is listed as a camping resort on their web page. It really does have nice facilities and the restrooms were cleaned several times a day. Its a large park with medium to large sites for a KOA. We stayed here for a week. Purchasing the Internet Special from their website (I noticed its increased slightly in price this year). There was so much to see and do in the area, we didn't really use all of the facilities at the campground. We did especially enjoy the large hot tub on the cool October nights during adults only time after a day of site seeing. All of the campground personnel were very friendly and helpful.  We selected GS Mtn Park Tour, Train Ride, Dollywood, Smoky Mtn Jamboree and fishing for our main activities. The campground is located about 6 miles from Cherokee and its a pretty good ride through town to a decent grocery store and the Casino. I would not hesitate to return, but I would also like to check out some of the other campgrounds in the area.
