There is a small museum in the state park with items recovered from the Fort Foster site. Across US Hwy 301 is the Fort Foster Historic Site. This is one of a series of forts constructed during the second Seminole War, and has been accurately reconstructed as it was in the 1830's. On special weekends, the for is garrisoned by soldiers whose uniforms and equipment are authentic replicas of those used during the Second Seminole War.
