Nature's Resort is one of the many private campgrounds located on the beautiful, crystal clear Homosassa River. The overall campground was kept very clean and the restroom facilities were above average. Most campsites had a concrete pad with picnic table and limited cable TV was available. The campsites were adequate size, but not a lot of separation between sites. This campground is obviously a semi-permanent destination for snowbirds to spend the winter and enjoy the Gulf Coast winter season, but casual campers are semi separated from the longer staying winter residents. FPUC held our December campout and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We all decorated for the Christmas season, and we had a dollar gift exchange which was loads of fun.

Almost all waterway from here to the Gulf is restricted to idle speed because of the large manatee population. It took us almost 1 1/2 hours to navigate to the Gulf in my small Jon boat.
