Niagara Falls, Ca and New Hampshire July,2002

Nd620002.jpg (83413 bytes) On the trip up from Florida, this is my camper set up in the Washington, Penn KOA. The sites for the over-night only campers were terraced into a rather steep hill. When exiting the camper, it was right into the side of the hill and the grass was very slippery when wet. Stepping out of the camper was definitely tricky. The campground was nice otherwise.
Nd620004.jpg (67890 bytes) Our camper set up at the Niagara Falls, Can KOA. When I called they had me down for a tent site without utilities. I explained that we really needed W&E, so they switched us to this tent site at one of the tenting pavilions. It really worked out pretty nice as it was a corner lot and there seemed to be a bit more privacy than the regular sites.

Nd620090.jpg (71489 bytes) My wife relaxes at Elmtree Campsites along the N.Y. Thruway after a hard day of riding (I did all of the driving). I don't know if the locals use this as a destination or not, but it was one of the nicer campgrounds close by an interstate that we stayed at overnight. The mosquitoes were pretty bad though.
Nd620092.jpg (91451 bytes) Our trip to New Hampshire was more family visiting orientated rather than camping. While there we stayed at the Pine Acres Family Camping Resort. After I'd booked the reservations, I saw several negative reviews of this campground, but this was the only vacancy I could find close to my relatives. The site I was assigned, was large and spacious and reasonably private. The shower facilities were clean (one of the frequent negatives of other reviews) but I was a little peeved at paying for a shower after $32 for a site. There were a lot of teenagers about with little supervision and it was a little noisy at night. Probably will plan ahead a little better next time, to try one of the other campgrounds in the area. On top of that, there is a $6 per person visitor charge unless less than an hour. You can't even cook hotdogs in less than an hour.
