Whenever I'll be near water and can fish, I carry along my small aluminum Landau Jon boat powered by a 3.3 Johnson outboard. It's 12' long, weighs only 60 lbs., and I can easily load it on top of my truck by myself. The motor tops out at a whopping 29 lbs so the whole rig including required safety equipment only adds around 120 lbs to my tow setup. The boat only rated for 2 persons at 295 lbs total with a 3 hp motor, but is just perfect for me and my wife to enjoy a quiet morning's fishing.
