Tip of the Day:

Some things that just make camping that much more enjoyable!

bullet

Levels I added T-type levels front and rear. These make leveling the camper a breeze. We have learned just the right amount of height required by quickly looking at the levels. About $2.00 each at Home Depot. I eyeball the front and my wife checks out the back. Nd620115.jpg (53607 bytes)

S-hooks: I attached S-hooks to each of the ropes used for tie down of the camper's awning. Saves a lot of frustration when putting up the awning not having to thread the rope through those little holes.Nd620020.jpg (56628 bytes)

12 Volt Jack Added 12 volt cigar type outlet to run 12VDC accessories inside the camper. I added it under the storage hutch where there was already wiring available for use for a pump. I mounted it inside on the top. We don't use it enough to drill a hole and mount it in the wall. We can run the TV or the small 12V vacuum for getting sand and such out of the trailer.

RCA Amplified Antenna: I'm still working on getting DW to buy into a satellite TV system for home and the camper. Until I do, I'm using an amplified set of rabbit ears. Tired of having them slide off of the TV, I put a couple pieces of Velcro to the roof and bottom of the antenna. It still works great upside down and helps to pull in those marginal stations for TV watching.nd620010.jpg (77936 bytes)

Water Connection: I carry two hoses, 50 and 25 ft., and connect them to the campground water supply via a Camco Water Diverter. I connect whichever hose is needed to the camper and connect the other to the extra faucet connection with a spray nozzle connected to the hose. It's quite handy for rinsing off coolers, fishing tackle or scrubbing the odd pot or pan out by the water faucet. water.jpg (16549 bytes)

"RV" TRAV-L-PURE Water Filter: I got this small water filter doing a product test for Pop Up Times. Seems to work pretty good. Thanks Dave!fil4.jpg (119390 bytes)

Metal Step Ladder: We carry a 3 step metal step ladder along. It's great for putting up the tacky lights or the Reflexit bunk end covers.

Tacky Lights: We like to use just regular outdoor Christmas tree lights around our camper's awning. They provide a lot of light and don't seem to attract bugs that bad.

Table Lamp: This small table lamp is just perfect for those night time contests of dominoes, cribbage or backgammon, our favorite games.lamp.jpg (40741 bytes)
